Armenian Defense Ministry Issues Statement

The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry's statement alleging that on March 17, between 01:25 and 12:55, Armenian Armed Forces units opened fire on Azerbaijani positions located in the eastern and southeastern sections of the border does not reflect reality. This was reported by the Armenian Ministry of Defense.

It is worth noting that the Prime Minister's Office of the Republic of Armenia proposed to create a joint mechanism for investigating incidents of ceasefire violations and/or information related to them between Armenia and Azerbaijan, to which Azerbaijan has yet to respond.

The Armenian Ministry of Defense reaffirms that, in line with the position of the Prime Minister's Office of the Republic of Armenia, it is prepared to investigate the facts underpinning the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry's statement, provided that these facts are communicated to Armenia.
