Russia's Foreign Ministry Outlines Demands for Ukraine

Russia will demand that concrete security guarantees, including Ukraine's neutral status and NATO countries' refusal to admit Kyiv into the alliance, be part of any future peace agreement aimed at resolving the Ukrainian conflict. This was stated by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko in an interview with the Izvestia newspaper.

“If we talk about a peaceful resolution of the Ukrainian conflict, then, of course, it will have an external outline; we will demand that concrete security guarantees become part of this agreement. Because only through their formation will it be possible to achieve durable peace in Ukraine and enhance regional security overall. Some of those guarantees should be Ukraine's neutral status and NATO countries' refusal to admit it to the alliance,” the diplomat said.

It should be noted that a phone conversation is set to take place tomorrow between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin. The topic of discussion will be the resolution of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.
