Zelensky Calls on Western Countries to Join Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has called on Western countries to join Ukraine in exerting pressure on the Russian Federation. He made this statement on his Telegram channel.

“We need to exert joint pressure on Russia to achieve progress,” he said.

Zelensky also discussed measures that “should not only be preserved but also constantly advance everyone.”

Additionally, the Ukrainian president reported that Russian military units have launched 1,360 guided aerial bombs, over 1,020 combat drones, and more than ten types of missiles.

The day before, Zelensky urged the US and Europe to ignore Russia's opinion regarding the deployment of peacekeepers in Ukraine. According to him, the troop contingent should be stationed on Ukrainian soil, as this is “a guarantee of Ukraine and Europe’s security.”

The Ukrainian leader added that the Russian side has no right to make decisions regarding the security of Ukraine and Europe.

Furthermore, Zelensky stated that it is difficult to resolve territorial disputes in the context of the conflict with Russia. The Ukrainian president emphasized that Kyiv will never recognize Crimea, Kherson, and Zaporizhia regions as part of Russia.
