Telegram Founder Pavel Durov Leaves France for Dubai

The founder of Telegram, Pavel Durov, has departed from France, where a criminal case had been initiated against him. According to reports, he has traveled to Dubai.

As per AFP, Durov was permitted to leave the country last August, likely due to his cooperation with authorities and the provision of information regarding users to security forces. Furthermore, throughout the past year, no requests from Russia have been satisfied.

It is noteworthy that Pavel Durov was arrested at Paris airport on August 24 of last year in relation to Telegram's moderation practices. He faced several criminal charges that could have led to a 10-year prison sentence; however, his collaboration with the authorities has seemingly saved him.
