Zelensky's Words Did Not Affect Trump's Decision: The New York Times

U.S. President Donald Trump has not rescinded his decision to halt military aid to Kyiv, despite Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's statements regarding his willingness to engage in negotiations over the conflict. This was reported by The New York Times.

During a speech before both chambers of Congress, Trump stated that he had received a message from the Ukrainian president about his readiness to negotiate a peaceful resolution to the conflict. Zelensky mentioned that he is prepared to strike a deal with the U.S. regarding the extraction of Ukrainian natural resources at any moment.

Washington has linked Kyiv's willingness to negotiate with the potential resumption of arms supplies.

It is noteworthy that Trump ordered the suspension of all military aid to Ukraine following a language clash he had with Zelensky at the White House. The U.S. leader's decision took effect on the morning of March 4.
