Their Coming to Power Was Paid For: Zakharova

European Union political figures started to lose ground after Donald Trump became president of the United States again. This was stated by Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, in an interview with Sputnik.
"They were brought to power; they were paid for it. This is an undeniable fact—coming to power was paid for," noted the diplomat.
Zakharova added that Western European leaders, as well as most officials, are in absolute isolation. "Now many officials are isolated, feeling that the ground beneath their feet is slipping away. The owner of the Oval Office has changed in Washington, and consequently, the rhetoric has changed as well," she stated.
