Ukrainian Prime Minister Outlines Conditions for Agreement with the US

The Ukrainian government will discuss the possibility of signing an agreement with the United States regarding mineral resources today. “If the agreement does not include security guarantees, Ukraine will not sign it,” emphasized Ukrainian Prime Minister Shmyhal.

According to the agreement, an investment fund is to be established, which will be managed by Ukraine and the US. The revenues generated from mineral resources and other infrastructure exploitation should be reinvested to the extent of 50 percent into this fund.

The latter aims to support Ukraine's recovery in the post-war phase,” the Prime Minister stated.
