Azerbaijan Knows What Reaction This Will Prompt: Yeghoyan
The statement made by the Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister claiming that Armenia aims to overcome the main obstacles in the resolution process through constitutional amendments, legally renouncing territorial claims against Azerbaijan, does not reflect reality. This was stated today by Arman Yeghoyan, the Chairman of the Armenian National Assembly's Committee on European Integration, during a joint press conference with Nils Ushakov, Co-Chair of the Armenia-EU Parliamentary Partnership Committee, held as part of the 4th meeting of the committee in Yerevan.
Yeghoyan noted, “Azerbaijani representatives, fully aware of the reaction this will provoke in Armenia, intend to prevent any constitutional reforms in Armenia through such statements. That is how I assess it.” He also mentioned, “Out of the 17 points in the peace agreement draft, 15 have been agreed upon, and 2 remain unresolved, none of which pertain to the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia.”
