The temperature of the 'Oreshnik' missile warheads corresponds to that of the Sun. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin while addressing the development of a unique complex of Russian science and the defense industry.

'Since the late 1980s, scientists have been developing systems for a gliding unit capable of flying. But at that time, the necessary materials were not available. Today, that problem has been resolved,' said the Russian leader during a forum on future technologies.

In November of last year, Russia used these missiles for the first time, striking a Ukrainian military facility with a non-nuclear hypersonic warhead.
