Representatives of Russia and the USA are in the Negotiation Venue

Saudi Arabia has been chosen as the venue for negotiations between Russia and the USA because it is suitable for both the Russian and American sides. This was clarified by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian President.

“US President Donald Trump mentioned Saudi Arabia when they were discussing possible locations for a summit. It was mutually decided that this location is generally suitable for both sides,” said the Kremlin spokesman, responding to the question regarding the choice of the negotiation venue.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Assistant to the President Yuri Ushakov are in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, on President Vladimir Putin's orders, to conduct negotiations with American representatives.

According to him, the meeting between representatives of Russia and the USA in Riyadh will primarily focus on the restoration of relations between the two countries.

It is noteworthy that US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has already arrived in Saudi Arabia. It is presumed that the Secretary will lead the US negotiating team.
