Peskov Denies Zelensky's Statement

The press secretary of the President of Russia, Dmitry Peskov, has denied that a Russian drone struck a damaged power block at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant overnight.

“There can be no talk of strikes on nuclear infrastructure objects, on nuclear energy infrastructure. Any statement to the contrary does not correspond to reality,” Peskov stated. He also added that Russian military forces do not engage in such actions.

It is worth recalling that Zelensky had claimed that a Russian strike drone attacked the nuclear plant that protects the world from radiation from the damaged fourth power block of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant.
