Two Delights in One Place: Simonian to Ghazaryan
The news review seems to become a regular feature, as there are still updates I wish to address. This was written on a Telegram channel by the Speaker of the National Assembly, Alen Simonian.
“1) The court has ordered Edgar Ghazaryan to pay me 1,150,000 drams and to apologize. After that, he allowed himself to insult the judge, which I find unacceptable. I believe he will appeal this decision, but in the end, he will still apologize and pay the legally prescribed amount. In short, two delights in one place.
2) Those who call themselves journalists and wake up and sleep with my name in their mouths have once again uttered insults against me. As a result, they will again become defendants in court, and this is already the third time. I am confident that the outcome will be the same as in the first case.
3) A number of citizens, calling themselves officials, have issued a statement – once again trying to attribute what I said to everyone and then defend it, not understanding that first, they did not need to or should not defend me, and that the way and place of defense were elsewhere, not sitting on the ‘divan’ in the center of Yerevan,” he wrote.
It should be noted that public-political figure Edgar Ghazaryan wrote on his Facebook page that after his post yesterday titled “Irresponsible and Unpunctual Judge,” today the judge of the first instance general jurisdiction court of Aragatsotn and Vayots Dzor regions, David Sargsyan, brother of National Assembly Deputy Tigran Sargsyan, published a ruling satisfying Alen Simonian’s claim and ordering him not only to apologize to one of the political leaders but also to pay a total of 1,130,000 drams.
