EU Delegation at Border Checkpoints

The State Revenue Committee has welcomed the European Union's expert mission to Armenia, aimed at developing the Visa Liberalization Action Plan (VLAP). This was announced by the SRC.

"The mission's goal is to assess the overall readiness of Armenia in the fields of document protection, border management, and migration, as well as to assist in the preparation of the visa liberalization action program. The EU partners were presented with the SRC’s strategic priorities in customs administration, reforms implemented in recent years, challenges faced, and future development prospects.

During the meeting, a number of issues related to the organization of border procedures were also discussed. As part of the mission, the EU delegation visited the Bagratashen and Ayrum border checkpoints to familiarize themselves with the operations of the customs authorities. A visit to 'Zvartnots' Airport is also planned," the statement noted.
