OMP Representatives Visit Syunik

The Human Rights Defender Anahit Manasyan has dispatched representatives of the OMP to the Syunik region. The aim is to familiarize themselves with the rights-related issues raised by employees of the Zangezur Copper-Molybdenum Combine, the state of personal rights protections, as well as concerns regarding working conditions.

Aram Minasyan, head of the Department for the Protection of Human Rights in Criminal Justice and Armed Forces, Vladimir Hovhannisyan, head of the Department for the Protection of Civil, Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights, and Ani Mnatsakanyan, head of the regional division in Syunik, have visited the area to assess the situation and have held meetings with employees of the ZCM.

All raised issues related to human rights will be recorded and presented to the Defender.
