Israel has submitted an official letter to the head of the UN Human Rights Council regarding its withdrawal from the council. This was reported by РИА Новости.

Earlier, Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar announced Israel's withdrawal from the UN Human Rights Council, following the lead of the United States. "Israel welcomes President Trump's decision not to participate in the work of the UN Human Rights Council. Israel joins the United States and will not participate in the UN Human Rights Council," Saar stated on social media platform X.

US President Donald Trump had signed an order for the withdrawal of the United States from both the UN Human Rights Council and the UN relief agency for Palestinian refugees.
