Emergency Incident in Metro: Multiple Arrests

The Director of the Yerevan Metro, Babken Sedrakyan, has reported that an emergency incident occurred in the metro on February 1. According to him, a train traveling from the Sasuntsi David station to the Zoravar Andranik station made an emergency stop.

“A passenger pressed the ‘stop’ button from inside the train, causing it to halt. While the train driver reported the situation to the dispatcher, 4-5 individuals crossed a barrier in the open area and vandalized the train,” he stated.

According to Sedrakyan, a criminal case has been initiated, and as a result of operational actions by the NSS and the police, five individuals have been arrested.
