ZPMC LLC Presents a Series of Facts and Figures
As previously reported, on January 31, 2025, several employees of ZPMC LLC did not show up for work, failed to fulfill their job responsibilities, or left their workplaces, making baseless and unrealistic demands for salary increases, thus disrupting the Company's operational processes. This was reported by the Zangezur Copper-Molybdenum Combine.
Considering the public response, we present several important facts and figures. It is worth reminding that the company's employees have previously organized protest actions and unauthorized strikes demanding higher wages, including prior to changes in shareholders and management, such as in 2018.
Since September 2024, the company has begun a salary revision process aimed at implementing institutional principles of labor remuneration, eliminating social inequalities, and ensuring a transparent remuneration system based on industry standards and objective criteria. In this context, for instance, as a result of the remuneration review of truck operators and their assistants (in October 2024), their wage transactional component has significantly increased.
Regardless of the reforms implemented since September, it is necessary to note that currently, the average salary at ZPMC exceeds all industry indicators. In the Syunik region, the average salary ranks second after the capital, which is influenced by the activities of the sector, particularly those of ZPMC.

As misinformation has been spread in recent days by the organizers of the strike regarding “poor” salaries and bad remuneration conditions, we leave these figures and facts to the judgment of the public.
