Russian TikToker Who Insulted Armenians Arrested: Details

A transgender individual known as "Rizhuliya" has been arrested after directing sexual insults towards Armenians. During a live broadcast on the TikTok platform from a café in Yerevan, the Russian national verbally attacked Armenians present in the café.

The police apprehended 22-year-old Kiril Atayev, also known as "Rizhuliya," on charges of hooliganism and transferred him to the Central Police Department.

The Investigative Committee of Armenia informed Aysor.am that a criminal case has been initiated under Article 297, Part 2, Clause 3, and Article 195, Part 2, Clause 5, of the Criminal Code. "There is one detained individual," stated the Investigative Committee.

It is noteworthy that "Rizhuliya" has been at the center of scandals several times in Yerevan. In 2023, the Armenian Police arrested two bloggers who mocked people in downtown Yerevan, throwing fruits at them and destroying flowers from a flower stand. One of them was "Rizhuliya."
