Boycott Against Transport Price Hike

Citizens are boycotting the increase in transport prices, with the Yerevan Council’s "Mother Armenia" faction joining the boycott, as well as former Yerevan mayor Hayk Marutyan and "Armenia" faction MP Garnik Danielyan.

Samvel Hakobyan, a member of the "Mother Armenia" faction, has called on citizens to pay only 100 drams, asserting that it is their constitutional right. He urged citizens not to engage in arguments with drivers.

It is recalled that the Yerevan council approved a decision with 33 votes in favor, setting the fare for one trip at 150 drams, and also introducing packages for a unified ticketing system.
