MPC Raises Concerns About Kindergarten Food Quality

Often, kindergartens serve butter and cheese that are priced suspiciously low, raising concerns that they may not meet technical regulation requirements. This was highlighted during a press conference by Gegham Gevorgyan, the chairman of the Competition Protection Commission.

He added that after conducting studies, they are trying to resolve this issue. "It turns out that in one reality in Armenia, the price for one kilogram of butter is 1600-1700 drams, but in the reality we live in, it is difficult to find butter at that price; it is significantly more expensive," noted Gegham Grigoryan, adding that in objective reality, there is also no milk priced at 50-60 drams per liter, as is found in kindergartens.

According to him, this means that the quality of these food products should not comply with the technical requirements.
