Details on How to Pay 150 Dram for One Journey
The leader of the Yerevan City Council's "Civil Contract" faction, Armen Galjyan, recently posted on his Facebook page:
“If you hear the following false propaganda trick again, that "you are being fooled again, you have to pay 300 drams because the terminals don't accept 50 drams", remind the authors of those claims the following: First, even if you insert 300 drams into the terminal, you will receive two tickets, meaning you will also acquire a return ticket at once. If the people who currently use the trolleybus, mainly adults, can manage this, then others, especially young people, can too.
Moreover, starting from February 1, you can pay 150 drams for one journey in the following ways:
- Via Telcell Wallet.
- With a 10-trip package (1500 drams instead of the previous 2200), available at terminals, including in the Telcell app.
- With bank cards.
And most importantly, if you travel at least twice a day on working days and purchase a 30-day package in January or February, you will receive an additional 30 days for free. This means that if you travel at least 44 times in a month, the cost of one journey for that two-month period will actually be 102 drams.
Furthermore, statistics (see the comments section) show that the average user travels not 44 times, but 52 times a month, meaning that the average cost of one journey during that period will drop to 86 drams. Let alone the cases when you travel three times or more in a day.
This opportunity has been created for you to test the ticketing system's packages and experience their effectiveness in everyday life. You will also receive an extra month when purchasing 90- and 365-day packages. When purchasing through the Telcell app, the packages are more affordable: 9000 drams for 8800, 24,000 drams for 23,600, and 90,000 drams for 88,000 drams.”
