We Need to Have a Serious Conversation with Them: Avinyan
Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan inquired about the delays in the "Tel Sel" system. According to him, they should have been interested, and ticket sales should have been conducted through their system as soon as possible.
Deputy Mayor Suren Grigoryan explained that he spoke with an employee of "Tel Sel" today, who informed him that the system would be available via the mobile app today or tomorrow.
"I believe we need to inventory what everyone was supposed to do, understand what has been done and what has not, and we need to have a serious conversation with our partners," stated Mayor Tigran Avinyan.
The Mayor also addressed the poor behavior exhibited by transport drivers via the hotline or the "active citizen" platform. "I understand that we are currently in the phase of recruiting drivers, but this does not mean that gross violations of rules and rude treatment of people should go unpunished. We will not turn a blind eye to this," said the Mayor.
In this context, he emphasized the importance of ensuring high-quality service. Avinyan instructed the "Yerevan Bus" company to conduct training sessions for drivers. According to him, this will prepare additional drivers.
"I believe that these activities should begin this week, and we should always have 50-100 people recruited who can potentially start working as early as next week or the next day. I ask you to start organizing these activities," instructed the Mayor.
It should be noted that currently, there are 44 vacant driver positions at the "Yerevan Bus" company.
