Sahakyan Not Detained: Details

The Anti-Corruption Court has decided to impose a measure of restraint on former head of the Property Management Department and former MP Arman Sahakyan, opting for administrative supervision instead of detention. This was reported by the spokesperson of the anti-corruption court, Armine Novruzyan, to Radar Armenia.

It should be recalled that the Investigative Committee announced the arrest of former head of the Property Management Department, former MP Arman Sahakyan, and other individuals who, under the pretext of reassessing three educational institutions’ occupied territories in Yerevan during 2012-2015, illegally allocated land plots. To conceal the criminal origin, rights, and ownership of these immovable properties, they had transferred them through nominal auctions to individuals affiliated with them.
