Russia Ready to Support Armenia-Azerbaijan Relations, Lavrov Says

Russia is ready to assist in the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan in all directions. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov during talks with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan.

According to Lavrov, regional security occupies a significant place in Moscow's actions towards the South Caucasus.

“We are ready to provide necessary assistance in regulating relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan in all directions, for the development of the trilateral agreements reached in 2020 and 2022 by the leaders of the three countries (i.e., Armenia, Russia, Azerbaijan),” Lavrov said.

Furthermore, the Russian minister noted that Moscow believes these agreements remain relevant, especially in light of the current situation in the region.
