Deputy Minister's Response to Publication Regarding Her Son's Non-Service
The Deputy Minister of Health of Armenia, Lena Nanushyan, has responded to today’s media publication about herself and her son. “Today is one of the most important days for our team as we are presenting the annual work completed. Some individuals, knowing that today is that day, are trying to influence the process with articles that evoke emotional 'outbursts.' But you cannot rewind the statistics; they are unchanged from last year. Moreover, regarding the deferral due to health conditions, can’t you get tired of exploiting it several times a year with expensive ordered articles?”
It should be noted that the newspaper “Hayots Ashkharh” reported today: “The newspaper has received information that Lena Nanushyan, taking advantage of the opportunities afforded to her, has gathered documents regarding her son's health condition, which have allowed her to exempt him from military service on the grounds of being unfit for service due to health reasons. Aside from this scandal, there is another one. Lena Nanushyan is doing everything to strengthen her position, and as soon as Minister Anahit Avanesyan leaves her office, she aims to seize the ministerial chair.”
It was stated that Deputy Minister Anahit Avanesyan is acting against her and secretly plotting with the Director of the National Institute of Health, Alexander Bazarchyan. “Hayots Ashkharh” attempted to obtain comments from Nanushyan but to no avail.
