Sargsyan on the Training of Servicemen

An operational group has been formed by my decree, which will analyze a number of mass events from recent years both from the perspective of the use of force and from a methodological standpoint, examining the organization of processes regarding tactical skills, identifying well-organized areas, shortcomings, and problems, and how to organize the process. This was stated by the Minister of Internal Affairs, Arpine Sargsyan.

“From the perspective of the use of force, we have started a group of trainings for our servicemen. Naturally, when dealing with any new issue, there may also be some rejection or unpreparedness. Our task will be to ensure that consistently, throughout the year, all servicemen must be retrained according to these force standards, because this is not only applicable to the police guard; it is a standard developed for the entire police system. I believe this is the institutional way to diagnose and solve the problem; otherwise, we will focus on applying various responsibility tools. This must be implemented in reality, while at the same time, the state must understand what changes need to be made in this regard,” the minister stated.
