Turkey Hands Over Border Control to Damascus
The new Syrian authorities have fully taken control of border crossings in the north of the country, which had been under Turkish control for nearly a decade.
Among the handed over crossings are Jarabulus, Al-Rai, Bab Al-Salam, and Al-Hamam, located in the northern part of Aleppo province.
"As of this morning, these points are entirely managed by the new government of Syria," the statement said, detailing that the transfer took place after a meeting between representatives of the Syrian and Turkish authorities.
