As a State, We May Not Endure: Lukashenko

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has said that it is better to have a dictatorship like Belarus than a democracy like Ukraine. He made this statement during a church visit on Christmas Day, as reported by BelTA.

“If we are dragged into a war, a difficult situation will arise, and we, as a state, may not endure. Therefore, I am doing everything patiently, stubbornly, as the Lord and the Church teach... And let them speak about the dictatorship in our country. It is better to have a dictatorship like Belarus than a democracy like Ukraine,” said the Belarusian president.

He added that there is peace in Belarus, which is not liked by unfriendly states. “That is why they want to drag us into war. Why is Volodya Zelensky behaving this way? After all, we had normal, good relations with him. What does he want now? He has been instructed to do everything to pull our country into war,” Lukashenko stated.
