Salome Zourabichvili to Spend Night at Presidential Palace
The President of Georgia, Salome Zourabichvili, has announced that she will be spending the night at her residence on the eve of Mikheil Kavalashvili's inauguration. She intends to remain there. This was reported by TASS.
“Greetings to you from the Orbeliani Palace: I am here, I will be here, and I will spend the night here,” Zourabichvili said in her video message.
She has called on her supporters to gather at the presidential residence on December 29 at 10:00 AM, where she will announce her plans for that day and the following days.
The inauguration ceremony for the newly elected president, Mikheil Kavalashvili, will take place on December 29, starting at 11:00 AM, at the parliament building located near the presidential residence.
Zourabichvili refuses to recognize the results of the parliamentary elections held on October 26 and does not consider Kavalashvili's elections legitimate. She has repeatedly stated that she will continue to serve as the head of state.
