Convention Signed to Exclude Double Taxation Between Armenia and Japan

On December 26, Armenian Finance Minister Vahe Hovhannisyan and Ambassador of Japan to Armenia, Yutaka Aoki, signed the convention on "Excluding Double Taxation and Preventing Tax Evasion and Avoidance between the Republic of Armenia and Japan." According to the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Armenia, the convention will encourage entrepreneurial activities in both countries by creating favorable competitive conditions, an investment-friendly environment, and a stable tax field for investors.

The signing of the convention will facilitate the development of trade in goods and services, the movement of capital, technology, and people between Armenia and Japan, as well as enhance economic ties between the two nations," the statement said.
