Those Funds Were Stolen From Us: Peskov

The transfer of funds from Russia's frozen assets to Ukraine may lead to legal prosecution by Russia. This was stated by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian President. Earlier, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal announced that Kyiv had received the first $1 billion from the United States, which was secured through revenues from Russian frozen assets.
“Those funds were stolen from us. And our assets that have been blocked were also absolutely illegally frozen. This contradicts all norms and rules,” Peskov told reporters. He also noted that transactions regarding Rosneft shares would not be made public, especially in the unfriendly economic environment that has now developed.
