Pashinyan Awaits Confirmation of Negative COVID Test Result: Spokesperson
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has undergone a COVID test prior to an overseas trip. This is standard protocol whenever such requirements are established by the host country, said the Prime Minister's spokesperson Nazeli Baghdasaryan in an interview with Aysor.am.
“Since learning of a positive COVID test result, Prime Minister Pashinyan has isolated himself and has had no in-person work interactions. Today, the Prime Minister has not had in-person engagements and is awaiting confirmation of a negative test result, after which he will resume face-to-face interactions,” stated the Prime Minister's spokesperson.
Recall that Nikol Pashinyan announced today that he tested positive for COVID on December 23. “I have been in isolation and working from my residence on December 23 and 24. My diagnosis was negative on December 25, and I am returning to my regular work routine,” he noted.
“Nevertheless, after consulting with colleagues, I will not participate today in the informal summit of the CIS leaders in St. Petersburg. I will make a decision by the end of the day regarding participation in tomorrow's meeting of the EAEU Supreme Economic Council,” wrote Pashinyan.
