Details on Criminal Case Against Former Leaders of Artsakh
The criminal case against the former military-political leaders of occupied Artsakh has been sent to the military court in Baku, according to the Prosecutor General's Office of Azerbaijan.
The Prosecutor General's Office has initiated criminal proceedings against 15 former military-political leaders of the occupied Republic of Artsakh. Following the massive military aggression carried out by Azerbaijan against the Republic of Artsakh in September 2023, they were unlawfully detained and transferred to Baku.
They are charged with terrorism, financing terrorism, creating unauthorized armed formations and groups, and conducting exercises for terrorist purposes.
Currently, former presidents Arkadi Ghukasyan, Bako Sahakyan, and Arayik Harutyunyan, National Assembly Speaker Davit Ishkhanyan, former Foreign Minister Davit Babayan, former Artsakh Defense Army Commander Levon Mnatsakanyan, former State Minister Ruben Vardanyan, and former Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Davit Manukyan are being held in illegal detention in Baku.
