Be Reserved and Cautious: A Message to Armenians in Syria
The Armenian National Leadership in Syria has published a message, which we present below:
“During this phase of change in Syria, we urge our people to be reserved and cautious, only leaving their homes when absolutely necessary. The Armenian community has always existed and must remain a supporter of the welfare and prosperity of the Syrian Homeland, advocating for the territorial integrity of the country and peaceful coexistence of various components of Syrian society.
The Armenian presence in Syria, which is rooted and constructive, will continue to support the multifaceted recovery efforts of Syria through collective work. We wish peace to the Syrian Homeland and a safe return for those temporarily leaving Aleppo, so that together, hand in hand, we can contribute to the country’s prosperity,” states the message.
