Zurabishvili Issues Statement

The President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, has made a statement in Batumi.

"We are not only staying within the constitutional framework, but the first thing that will start tonight in Batumi is pressure on the Constitutional Court," Zurabishvili said during a press briefing.

On November 19, Zurabishvili filed a petition to the Constitutional Court to recognize the results of the parliamentary elections held on October 26 as falsified. The court has yet to announce whether it has accepted Zurabishvili's petition for consideration.
