New Batch of Expensive Medicine Delivered from India to Armenia
A new batch of expensive medicine has already arrived at the ‘Yolyan’ Center for Hematology and Oncology of the Ministry of Health. This was announced by the press service of the Ministry of Health. Deputy Minister of Health Armen Gasparyan and the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of India to Armenia, Nilakshi Saha Sinha, visited the center and presented the new batch of ‘Kelfer’ medication.
‘Kelfer’ is indicated for blood hereditary disease thalassemia. This condition involves insufficient or abnormal production of hemoglobin. Patients need to take the ‘Kelfer’ medication regularly throughout their lives. In Armenia, this disease affects around 130 people.
During their visit, Ambassador Sinha toured the hematology center with Armen Gasparyan and Hayk Grigoryan, the director of the ‘Yolyan’ Center, familiarizing themselves with the conditions and achievements, as well as discussing new avenues for Armenian-Indian cooperation in the healthcare sector.
