Resignations Filed in the Investigative Committee
The newspaper 'Hraparak' reports that, following the dismissal of Argishti Kyeramyan, the Investigative Committee has been in disarray. It has become known to the media that on the day of Kyeramyan's departure, Arthur Vardanyan, the head of the Committee's legal department, submitted a resignation letter, stating that he cannot envision continuing his work in the Committee after Kyeramyan's exit.
A real chaos erupted in the Committee after Prime Minister Pashinyan announced in an interview that the new president would be Arthur Poghosyan, the deputy prosecutor. During Anna Vardapetyan's tenure, Kyeramyan warmly welcomed personnel from outside the prosecutor's office to the Committee. Some of these individuals have already submitted resignation letters upon learning that Poghosyan is arriving at the Committee.
According to 'Hraparak', Arsen Simonyan, the head of the Committee's department for economic crimes and smuggling investigations, also filed a resignation letter. He had recently transferred from the prosecutor's office to the Investigative Committee about a year ago. Reports suggest that he left due to a conflict with Arthur Poghosyan, which was so serious that he submitted his resignation as soon as he heard Poghosyan's name.
The Investigative Committee of Armenia has confirmed the information regarding the officials submitting their resignation letters.
