«We will not send any soldiers to fight». Italian Foreign Minister

Italy's Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Antonio Tajani has confirmed the position that there are no plans to send Italian troops to Ukraine. This statement came against the backdrop of media reports indicating that France and Great Britain are discussing the possibility of deploying troops from the West.

“We will not send any soldiers to fight in Ukraine; we are assisting Kyiv politically, financially, and sending military aid, but we will not be sending soldiers to fight,” he stated during the G7 foreign ministers' meeting.

Earlier, media reports indicated that France and Great Britain had resumed discussions about the possible deployment of Western troops to Ukraine. “In light of Donald Trump's thoughts about ending U.S. support for Ukraine, Paris and London do not rule out the possibility of leading a coalition on the Ukraine issue under conditions that are yet to be determined,” the media outlet reported.
