Hovik Aghazaryan Explains Under What Circumstances He Would Resign His Mandate
“I participated in that part of the meeting; our colleagues from the board asked numerous questions, and I provided clarifications during the parliamentary hearings regarding the incident with Argishti Kyaramyan,” said MP Hovik Aghazaryan of the Civil Contract faction during a brief conversation with reporters.
When asked what decision has been made, Aghazaryan noted that he does not know: “They had no complaints. They were clarifying with me, for example, how it was that I addressed Mr. Kyaramyan with the word ‘ara’.”
Regarding whether he could resign, Aghazaryan stated that he is not discussing such a question. “When it comes up, then I will think about it.” To the question of whether it is possible that he would not resign, he replied, “It is possible that I will resign. When Mr. Kyaramyan, as I have publicly stated, provides names and substantiates that my name has been requested in connection with a criminal case involving my son’s company, then I will resign my mandate.”
