Watch: Enhanced Service in Yerevan and Regions Focuses on Violators

The head of the Patrol Service, Arthur Khudinyan, urged officers to maintain public order and road safety within the legal framework. Among the violations registered by patrols are tinted windows, operating vehicles without technical inspection, and driving without a license. Patrol officers are uncompromising when it comes to safety, issuing verbal warnings and, when necessary, fines.

During the first ten months of this year, patrol officers across the republic recorded 35,402 instances of using a phone while driving, 21,749 cases of using tobacco products while driving, and 149,837 cases of driving without a seatbelt. The aim of the enhanced service is to reduce traffic accidents. A significant portion of today's accidents is attributed to using phones or tobacco products while driving.
