Call for Resignation: Gyumri's Shirak Statement

Gyumri's Shirak has joined the call for the resignation of Football Federation of Armenia (FFA) President Armen Melikbekyan, echoing the demands of Pyunik and Urartu. This was reported by the press service of the club representing Gyumri.

“The FFA leadership must resign, and it should do so as soon as possible. Even after the absolute failures in all directions, the calls for resignation from fan movements and broad segments of society, the current elite of the FFA still hopes to remain in power. The loss of touch with reality by the FFA leaders will only deepen the crisis in Armenian football and may lead not only to the withdrawal of Premier League clubs but also their youth teams from competitions,” reads the official statement.

“We urge the FFA leadership to properly assess the seriousness of the moment and to resign promptly, thus at least contributing to the health and development of Armenian football,” the statement concluded.
