The defender of the Armenia national team and Moscow's Lokomotiv, Nair Tiknizyan, has shared his thoughts on who he would like to see as the coach of the Armenia national team. According to armsport.am, he stated, 'Who would I like to see as the head coach of the Armenia national team? Currently, there is a trend towards relatively young coaches who have recently finished their football careers. Such specialists as Raul, Van Persie, and Cannavaro. It would be good if one of these professionals becomes the new coach,' Tiknizyan mentioned in an interview with metaratings.ru.

It should be noted that on October 13, 2024, the press service of the Armenia national team announced the departure of Ukrainian specialist Alexander Petrakov from the position of head coach. This decision was made after the loss (0:2) to North Macedonia in the fourth round of the UEFA Nations League group stage.
