North Korea Launches Longest-Flying Ballistic Missile

The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) has launched a ballistic missile, achieving the longest flight duration recorded for its rocket tests, lasting nearly one and a half hours, according to NHK, referencing Japan's Ministry of Defense. This indicates that the missile may differ significantly from those previously launched by the DPRK.

According to RIA Novosti, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un confirmed the launch of an intercontinental ballistic missile by the DPRK, stating it demonstrates his resolve to confront adversaries. He also asserted that 'nothing will change' regarding the country’s policy on strengthening its nuclear capabilities.

Later, Japan's maritime safety agency reported that the missile fired by North Korea has fallen. The landing was recorded at 8:37 AM (3:37 AM Yerevan time) off the coast of Okushiri Island in Hokkaido, outside Japan’s exclusive economic zone.
