Entire Cuba Left Without Power

Cuba has experienced a complete power outage after one of its power plants halted operations. This was announced on Friday, October 18, by the Cuban Ministry of Energy and Mines.

The ministry clarified that the nationwide electrical grid shutdown occurred due to an unexpected failure of the 'Antonio Guterres Power Plant.'

Cuban President Diaz-Canel Bermudez assured that restoring energy supply to the island nation is the authorities' 'absolute priority.'
