Why the Commander of the 5th Corps Was Dismissed: MoD Clarification

The commander of the 5th army corps, Sasun Badassian, was relieved of his duties yesterday. To obtain clarification regarding the dismissal, Auroranews reached out to the Ministry of Defense.

"There is an ongoing process, so it is out of the question to comment on it. Nevertheless, I want to add that any kind of interference in the evaluation process will be inevitably and strictly punished," said Aram Torosyan, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense.

Earlier, media reports indicated that Badassian's dismissal was related to his interference in the evaluation process.
