Large Quantity of Weapons and Ammunition Left in Charentsavan
A citizen has left a large quantity of weapons and ammunition in the city of Charentsavan.
As a result of explanatory work by the officers of the Kotayk Regional Police and the Charentsavan Division, on October 10, the operational management center of the Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs received a call indicating that a citizen was leaving weapons near the panels in the area adjacent to Shahumyan Street in Charentsavan.
The operational group that responded to the call discovered a polyethylene bag at the specified location, which contained an "A-KA-M" type submachine gun, a double-barreled shotgun, a wooden box containing 8 grenades with their caps, 5 flash bang grenades, 13 other types of grenades, an F-1 grenade, 599 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, and magazines for the submachine gun.
As a result of the explanatory work, a 41-year-old man presented himself at the Charentsavan division of the police with a "Saiga" type rifled shotgun and a 16mm caliber double-barreled smoothbore shotgun. Documentation has been prepared in both cases and sent to the Charentsavan investigative department.
