Enemy Troop Buildups Noticed Near the Wall: Resident of Kiran
Residents of Kiran village in Tavush Province are not allowing their children to play in the playground of a newly constructed school located 50 meters from the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. This was reported today by Karen Ghazaryan, a resident of Adjarkut, in a conversation with NEWS.am, noting that the residents' caution is due to recent buildups of enemy forces observed in the area.
“About ten days ago, enemy troop buildups were noticed near the wall, and their sounds could even be heard from the road leading to Adjarkut. There were also some works being carried out on the bridge that passed to Azerbaijan as a result of demarcation; machinery was working there,” said the resident.
According to him, this has been the reason for residents of Kiran to become more cautious, and they warn their children to stay away from the playground, which is only 30 meters from the wall. “Officials had promised that the new school would be safe and that there would be no problems; that’s why in the first few days, the school administration organized demonstration events, taking the children to the playground to show that it is supposedly safe,” noted Karen Ghazaryan.
