Details on Criminal Authority’s Escape from Medical Center: MediaHub

It has been reported that criminal authority Konstantin Hunanian, known as “Koko” aged 34, has escaped from a medical center where he had been transferred from a penitentiary facility. Hunanian is serving time for murder. Specifically, he was convicted for the shooting of 28-year-old Ashot Petrosyan, nicknamed “Kyazh Ashot,” on June 9, 2020, in the courtyard of building 9 on May 9th Street in the Shengavit administrative district of Yerevan.

MediaHub has obtained some information concerning this incident. According to sources from the media outlet, Hunanian had been held for an extended period in the NSS isolation unit, after which he was transferred to one of the penitentiary facilities, only to be returned to isolation again. This was linked to threats against the safety of the notorious convict.

Two weeks ago, he was moved to the “Artmed” medical center purportedly due to health issues, from where he escaped two days ago. It was reported that the personnel overseeing him were in an adjacent room when the criminal managed to flee and find his freedom.

The media has reached out to the head of the Public Relations Department of the Penitentiary Administration, Nona Navikyan, to confirm the accuracy of our information. She responded, saying, “Search operations are currently ongoing. It is not appropriate to provide further information at this time.”

From the Penitentiary Medical Center, inquiries were made about which penitentiary Hunanian was transferred from and how long he had been under medical supervision before his escape. The facility directed inquiries to the Ministry of Health, which responded that a written request would be required.

The police have also conveyed to the media that the criminal has not yet been apprehended and that searches are continuing. Incidentally, according to media reports, “Koko” is being pursued not only by law enforcement but also by representatives of the criminal world.

It should be noted that prior to the murder of “Kyazh Ashot,” Konstantin Hunanian, aka “Koko,” had also been convicted for robbery and was released under an amnesty.
