Foreign Moped Rider Attacked in Yerevan, Money Stolen

On September 21, shortly after midnight, a foreign citizen reported to the police department in Mashtots that around 7 PM on September 20, a driver of a black car stopped near one of the buildings on Lenin Street, threatened him with a sharp object, and stole 45,000 drams.

The police have stated that, through joint operational and investigative activities conducted by the RA Police Department for Combating Organized Crime, the Yerevan city department, and the Criminal Investigation Division of the Mashtots police station, the identity of the person who committed the robbery against the foreigner has been established.

As a result of further actions and explanatory work, a 27-year-old resident of Baghramyan village in Armavir province appeared at the Mashtots police station on September 22. He has been arrested. The documents prepared have been forwarded to the investigative department.
