Aliyev Highlights Azerbaijan's Number One Priority

The enhancement of military power is Azerbaijan's number one priority, stated President Ilham Aliyev during a speech at the Milli Majlis.

He remarked, “The processes taking place in the world, the emergence of new conflict hotspots, wars, and the rising tensions around us, as well as revanchist tendencies in Armenia compel us to constantly pay attention to military power.”

According to Aliyev, if Baku pays little attention to the military sector and fails to ensure an adequate level of funding, problems may arise in the future.
